Number 1

Sixteen years after finishing university Mitch was watching T.V and there was a story on "nightline" that caught his eye. The story featured his former professor Morrie Schwartz. Sixteen years without seeing Morrie made Mitch very nervous, he new that the materialistic life he was living went against everything Morrie stood for.

"I traded my dreams for a bigger paycheck" is what Mitch says in the book. Seeing Morrie on T.V just made him start thinking more about his own life and hoe Morrie was dying slowly but surly and still he was able to make an impact on so many people. Yet Mitch a man who was capable of doing anything he wanted sat at the same desk everyday doing the same thing.
